Gene expression profiling
Gene expression profiling
Whereas genome sequencing gives us an insight into what a cell could potentially do, gene expression profiling tells us what a cell is doing at a particular point in time. Gene profiles can be used to measure reactions to treatment at the cellular level, and high-density oligo arrays can be used to measure the entire genome in a particular cell.
